Makeup Beginnings: How to organize a new updated beauty regime.

In May of this past year. I chose to marry the Man of my dreams.  

Let's call him 'J'

since he is more shy then me on the interwebz.

My mom was very against me getting a makeup artist 

SO EXPENSIVE 

Instead she said I could learn how to do it myself.

 I could get any products I desired. 

 I started my makeup questing and discovering in Hollywood, California. 

I went to The Grove to start my journey.  

I love shimmers, sparkles, and the color purple. Other then that I was pretty clueless.  

 

My previous beauty routine involved just applying : 

Mac Pro Longwear Foundation in NC30 under my eyes for covering dark circles.  

Wearing my TooFaced Sun Bunny Bronzer as an overall powder foundation. (faux-pas i know)

and my Bible Black Eyeliner in MatteBlack from Sephora. 

These are THE BEST EYELINERS ever, they don't smudge, they are completely waterproof and also provide good protection from the sun just like a football player would wear to protect his own face from the gleam of the sun.  Also the Egyptians rocked this exact style as well to protect their eyes from the sun. 

One of the few FEMALE Pharoahs.

Her name was Hatsheput.  

Most of my fascination and inspiration has come from the egyptians. 

I feel they really define beauty the most elegantly in their culture.

Name Interpretation.

The name of my blog comes from My middle name is Kiah. 

Some of my favorite colors.  

Not to be confused with the town, UKIAH CALIFORNIA. Just discovered there was a city as well.. ! 

I love flowers and I love the letter K it is funky and also the best to draw cursive with. 

Kiah is East African name which translates to Early Spring.

I am a Violinist of 22 years.

I learned Classical for 22 years and then I slowly and am still evolving into a Recording Artist for Electronica/Hiphop/RnB/ANYTHING . :) 

I do not understand the concept of 'genres'.

Even though I started Learning Violin at age 4.  I was taught first only Classical Music through the Suzuki Method from the early age.  

When I was 14 I was taken to a Music Stagé (which means workshop in francais) to teach us the core concepts of improvisation.  

It was one of the biggest most challenging mind bridges I had to cross.  

I had to untrain my brain to tell me that there was no 'right' way (aka music on sheet paper) it was only what you felt inside your mind and thats what was correct.  

But I was naturally a Suzuki student.  

A little worker bee at violin even at age 14 that was taught up until that point to read what was on the page. 

Do not interpret or go far from the interpretation that was written on the sheet music of the musical piece. That was a concept that took many nights of tears and self discovery to truly untrain and then to find  or finally discover and hear my 'inner voice' it was tiny, but it was there.  I opened the door for it then.  I slowly closed it then at that age, left it at that point and continued on with classical musical study.  I began practicing about 3-4 hours daily and I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to my new inner voice. 

I am a visual artist.

I use lots of different mediums My favorite is spraypaint.
